Baghouse dust collectors use needle-felt filter bags to capture airborne dust particles, ensuring efficient filtration. Contaminated gas enters the filter chamber, where dust accumulates on the surface of the bags, while clean air exits from the top. To maintain efficiency, a reverse pulse of compressed air is periodically injected through nozzles into the center of the bags when the differential pressure reaches a set threshold. This pulse creates an expansion force, dislodging dust from the bag surfaces. The collected dust then falls into a hopper, restoring the filter bags’ pressure drop and allowing them to continue effective filtration.
